THE BOOK OF KELLS.. 
Is an illuminated medieval manuscript containing the Four Gospels of the New Testament.  It is an amazing work of both illumination and calligraphy and was transcribed by Celtic monks circa 800 ad.  The book is currently on display at the Trinity College in Dublin, Ireland
